Even in the heart of winter, enjoying a Colorado night on the patio is more than just on special occasion’s, it’s a part of your lifestyle. Whether you’re wanting to entertain guests late into the night or are looking to enjoy some fresh, Colorado air, a fire feature is the perfect way to do so. In addition to providing warmth, fire features invite guests to gather around, relax, and enjoy the ambiance provided by the flickering flames.

Fire pits are one of our most requested winter projects, understandably. Who doesn’t want to sit out on their patio, year-round and enjoy the beauty of the Colorado night sky? There are a ton of different fire pits, but we’ve put together four of our favorites. We hope you’re ready because we’re about to bring the heat (literally).

1.  Safe and efficient firepit in Windsor, Colorado

Gather your friends and all the s’mores fixings because we’re bringing to you the roasting spot for 2020. Surrounded by ample seating, this gorgeous, gas fire pit was designed with comfort and efficiency in mind. This fire pit was designed to safely contain embers while providing heat to the surrounding area as well as allowing the easy adjustment of fuel.

The simple geometric style of this cement pit enhances the intricate detail of the redwood pergola, which was also custom built for this space by the All Terrain team. The pergola’s metal siding is not only decorative, it also serves as a wind blocker, keeping the cool breeze out and the warmth of the fire in.

2. Functional, but artistic firepit in Greeley, Colorado.

Crafted in Greeley, Colorado, this design was a modern take on the classic fire pit. The homeowners wanted a warm, inviting design that would complement the edge of their outdoor patio. Featuring a crescent shaped, stone exterior and glass embers, this elegant fire pit was the perfect addition to this stone patio. The single pipe of flame running the length of the fire pit adds to the simple modern feel of this feature and acts as a heat screen, perfect for keeping your outdoor sitting area warm.

3. Rustic, outdoor fireplace in Fort Collins, Colorado.

A more classic fireplace silhouette, this sturdy stone and wall feature creates a living room outdoors. The contained flame design funnels and projects the heat towards the seating area making for more comfortable outdoor lounging. Because the stone used in this feature is complimentary to the surrounding hardscape as well as the color palette of the natural environment and built into the retaining wall, this is as efficient as it is aesthetic. Whether you’re enjoying appetizers with friends, sharing s’mores with the kids, or kicking your feet up with a glass of wine, this fireplace is the perfect accompaniment to your outdoor fun!

4. An outdoor firepit oasis, in Greeley, Colorado

It’s time to kick your feet up and relax with this next fire pit. The circular shape and tabletop design of this feature emphasize the multifunctionality of this piece. Entirely surrounded by seating, this fire feature’s main goal was to bring the family together over the nighttime (or daytime) glow of fire. By blending in with the main architecture of the home, the inspiration for the design of this firepit came from the already existing, unique, neutral-stone design of the home.
