Rev up your sleighs, deck the halls and break out the cookie cutters. Now that Halloween is in our rearview mirrors, we’re jumping head first into the holiday season (no offense, Thanksgiving). At All Terrain, we take the holidays pretty seriously, especially when it comes to outdoor lighting displays. To kick off the most wonderful time of the year, we’re sharing with you some spectacular holiday lighting displays and events around northern Colorado that you won’t want to miss.
Downtown Holiday Lights
Where: Downtown Fort Collins
When: Nov. 3, 2017 – February 2018
What: The North Pole has nothing on Downtown Fort Collins during the holidays! The switch was flipped at the beginning of November, and now the streets will be illuminated all the way through Valentine’s Day.
Gardens on Spring Creek Garden of Lights
Where: Gardens on Spring Creek, 2145 Centre Ave, Fort Collins
When: Dec. 1, 2017 – Jan. 7, 2018, 5-9 p.m.
What: Giant illuminated flowers, dinosaurs, ponds and more – the Gardens on Spring Creek go all out for their annual holiday lights garden. Plus, they’re joining forces with Woodward this year for an extra-fantastic experience.
Anheuser Busch Brewery Lights
Where: Anheuser Busch, 2351 Busch Drive, Fort Collins
When: Nov. 16 – Dec. 30, 2017, 5-9 p.m. every Thursday-Sunday
What: Their slogan is “Thousands of Lights. One Majestic Setting.” And frankly, we think they hit the nail on the end.
Greeley Grizwalds
Where: 354 50th Avenue Court, Greeley
When: Nov. 24, 2017 – Jan. 1, 2018, 5:30-10 p.m.
What: National Lampoon can’t hold an LED bulb to this Greeley family! With 135,000 lights around their home and a soundtrack to go with them (92.9 FM), you can’t help but get in the holly jolly spirit.
2017 Festival of Lights
Where: Downtown Loveland
When: Nov. 29, 2017, 5-8 p.m.
What: The 2017 Festival of Lights turns Downtown Loveland into a winter wonderland! Enjoy the lighting of a 24-foot Christmas tree, caroling, carriage rides, holiday treats and more.
Lights for Habitat
Where: 321 and 325 Albion Way, Fort Collins
When: Nov. 23, 2017 – Jan. 1, 2018
What: The Blenkers family truly embodies the giving spirit of the holiday season with their Lights for Habitat display. After moving into their home that they built through the partnership of Fort Collins Habitat for Humanity, they’ve outfitted their home with an awe-inspiring light show for the community, while also collecting donations for Habitat!
Holiday Open House
Where: Downtown Greeley
When: Nov. 25, 2017, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
What: Nothing kicks off the holiday season in Greeley better than the Holiday Open House. Celebrate Small Business Saturday, business bingo, a parade, and – of course – the park lighting ceremony.
Timnath Holiday Lighting Festival
Where: Old Town Timnath on Main Street
When: Dec. 1, 2017, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
What: Timnath may be small in size, but it sure is big in the holiday spirit! Join the mayor of Timnath and Santa Claus as they light up the town at 5:30 p.m., and then stick around for carriage rides, ornament decorating, local choir and band performances, hot soup and beverages and more.
